Watersongs Art Initiative is intended to promote local public interest in the arts and the role of the arts in the community.

As part of that objective the Watersongs group will be holding a demonstration of craft metalworking and stained glass art on Thursday 20 September at the QE2 Festival.

The Watersongs tent will be located in the tented village along Greenock esplanade and members of the group will be in attendance from 11am.

The group also intend to produce a range of work in time for the final visit of the QE2 in 2008. They are therefore keen to speak to anyone involved in the building of the liner to ensure that their works incorporate contemporary recollections of those involved.
